3.2 | Why do you wish to obtain a Personal Firearm Permit? (Minimum of 50 words):
I'm interested in obtaining the constitutional right of purchasing and carrying firearms with the intent of ensuring safety to myself and my friend. Recently me and my friend moved into our new house in Palomino Creek and not even a week we noticed street hoodlums, or local street gang's presence through graffiti and other means. I'm a law abiding citizen and I want to able, in terms of purchasing a firearm, and prepared, in terms of training, weapon discipline and various laws that apply to firearms holders, to defend myself, my friend or the property we share in Palomino. Another risk factor I took into consideration prior to submitting my application for this process is the volatile or risky nature of my job as a trucker with multiple ADRs for special hauls like fuel, chemicals, high value goods and so on. I feel like having a small firearm would aid me in intimidating and deescalating another civilian with bad intents or in the worse case scenario use it for defense.
3.3 | How do you plan to use your Personal Firearm Permit? (Minimum of 50 words):
If I'd be given the right to purchase and use firearms within the jurisdiction of the state of San Andreas I plan on obtaining a small handgun like a Glock 19 or Berreta 92FS with the purpose of self defence as stated above. I understand the responsibility that comes with firearm ownership and will ensure that the weapon is never misused or displayed recklessly. Again, as mentioned above I plan on carrying the handgun whenever I'm tasked at work to haul special cargos as long as my employer also allows me to do so based on their own risk assesment of having an employee carrying a handgun and also I plan on having the handgun secured in a metal box inside my house and use it in the case that burglars or bad actors decide to break the law on my property as long as the proportionality of force deems fit.

It is the responsibility of the Red County Sheriff's Department to include a background check of all applicants for a firearm permit. This check could involve interviews with family members, neighbors, or co-workers, past and present. This check will include a check of your mental and physical well-being both now and in the past. The law allows us to check complete criminal history, which includes local, state, and federal checks. Your signature below allows us to search all sources that contain information that would allow a complete and accurate background investigation.
I also certify that all information on my firearm permit, and this background information sheet, is true and accurate, knowing that any falsified information could disqualify me from obtaining the permit.
I also certify that the Red County Sheriff's Department has the right to revoke my Personal Firearm Permit for any circumstance, with legal authority. If I fail to abide by state laws or any regulations and protocols that are set out by the Red County Sheriff's Department, I hereby consent to the revocation of my Personal Firearm Permit.
