We expect our members to be on the same page. This means leaving behind certain mentalities:
- Policing Server Mentality: We want authentic interactions. Your character should feel like a person, not a machine focused solely on arrests. Prioritize roleplay over a "win" at all costs. We win some, we lose some. It's also important to live and let live during most of your IC interactions with the general community. It's very important that you understand that from an OOC perspective, we LOSE NOTHING. The same is not true for regular community members, which is why we must create memorable incidents.
- No "Bumper Cars": Ramming vehicles is off the table. It's low-effort roleplay and ruins the experience for everyone.
- No "Boxing": Self-explanatory. Boxing almost always results in poor roleplay and heavily degrades the faction's standing. We employ multiple Pursuit Interventional Tactics to bring pursuits to an end through acceptable means (e.g. PITs, stopsticks, tracking mode, leave & catch later // warrants)
- Unnecessary External Clothing Objects: Our uniforms are based on standard U.S. police practices. This means no excessive or unauthorized clothing and equipment. Stick to the provided uniform; external vests and other specialized gear will be authorized by watch commanders when necessary, so long that there are IC reasons that call for them.
We draw inspiration from various U.S. law enforcement agencies for our structure and organization, with greater emphasis on Orange County Sheriff's Department, but we are not aggressively replicating any single one. Our primary commitment is to create a believable and enjoyable environment that meets the community's roleplay standards.
