3.2 | Why do you wish to obtain a Personal Firearm Permit? (Minimum of 50 words):
For my many years of living in this part of the country I've always felt the need to have some for of a Firearm permit. I've been through many government jobs that have aided me throughout my life on the various weapons found around our area. As former DOC Guard and former officer it just helps you feel safe and it allows you the opportunity to help others if you come across anything. We all know how crazy this town can get on top of that.
3.3 | How do you plan to use your Personal Firearm Permit? (Minimum of 50 words):
Overall I would just really like the peace of mind in being able to protect my personal property and myself. I think it's very important to always have that option in case of the worse. In fact I've still got my old lock box safe in my home and in my car for whenever I go on shift. I've also stopped many criminals trying criminal things on friends and fellow employees in the past, all in witch ended peacefully without needing to ever use it. Hopefully god willing, I'll never need to use it on or off duty but as previously stated, its just a great backup option just in case.

It is the responsibility of the Red County Sheriff's Department to include a background check of all applicants for a firearm permit. This check could involve interviews with family members, neighbors, or co-workers, past and present. This check will include a check of your mental and physical well-being both now and in the past. The law allows us to check complete criminal history, which includes local, state, and federal checks. Your signature below allows us to search all sources that contain information that would allow a complete and accurate background investigation.
I also certify that all information on my firearm permit, and this background information sheet, is true and accurate, knowing that any falsified information could disqualify me from obtaining the permit.
I also certify that the Red County Sheriff's Department has the right to revoke my Personal Firearm Permit for any circumstance, with legal authority. If I fail to abide by state laws or any regulations and protocols that are set out by the Red County Sheriff's Department, I hereby consent to the revocation of my Personal Firearm Permit.
