SECTION 3 | PERMIT INFORMATION
3.1 | Firearm Permit Type: Class B

3.2 | Why do you wish to obtain a Personal Firearm Permit? (Minimum of 50 words):

I want to obtain a Personal Firearm Permit because I often work late hours as a truck driver in rural areas, some of which are known for gang activity. My job carries a real risk of being robbed or even killed, as more and more criminals target truckers for the valuable goods we transport. I want to protect myself and make sure I get home safely to my family after every shift. I also want to mentioned that I've had some incidents before, so I'm already feared for my own well-being and I can't be in such a risk anymore. Also, this would be an opportunity to protect the closest ones to me, or even strangers if they're in danger and treat the situation accordingly. I have experience in firearms and protection as I've been in the army for two years, but after I had to step down because of personal issues. I attended several courses with instructors on firearm usage and de-escalation, taking in count the level of danger so I know how and when to make use of a firearm.

3.3 | How do you plan to use your Personal Firearm Permit? (Minimum of 50 words):

I plan to use my permit strictly for self-defense while working as a truck driver, especially during late hours in dangerous, high-crime areas. I have no intention of using it for anything other than protecting myself from possible threats like robbery or assault, which are becoming more common in this line of work. My goal is to stay safe and make sure I get home unharmed after every delivery.
SECTION 4 | DECLARATION OF LIABILITY
It is the responsibility of the Red County Sheriff's Department to include a background check of all applicants for a firearm permit. This check could involve interviews with family members, neighbors, or co-workers, past and present. This check will include a check of your mental and physical well-being both now and in the past. The law allows us to check complete criminal history, which includes local, state, and federal checks. Your signature below allows us to search all sources that contain information that would allow a complete and accurate background investigation.

I also certify that all information on my firearm permit, and this background information sheet, is true and accurate, knowing that any falsified information could disqualify me from obtaining the permit.

I also certify that the Red County Sheriff's Department has the right to revoke my Personal Firearm Permit for any circumstance, with legal authority. If I fail to abide by state laws or any regulations and protocols that are set out by the Red County Sheriff's Department, I hereby consent to the revocation of my Personal Firearm Permit.

(( I also certify that the Red County Sheriff's Department has the right to revoke my Personal Firearm Permit with a valid Out of Character reason.))
