I wish to obtain a firearm permit solely for the purpose of self-defence. As a fellow African American, living in an undoubtedly racist town in Palomino Creek, I often feel endangered and quite frankly I feel unsafe leaving the town if I will be unarmed. Having a permit will allow for me to holster a weapon in my self-defence and hopefully deter any illminded people before they even think about doing anything to me.

I plan on using my permit for self-defence, this meaning its more than likely going to be sitting in my holster very often. This means I will often be seen at the firearms range to practice my aim and also my cool and collectedness while shooting. I will make sure to regularly work on my weaponry and also encourage others to do the same.

It is the responsibility of the Red County Sheriff's Department to include a background check of all applicants for a firearm permit. This check could involve interviews with family members, neighbors, or co-workers, past and present. This check will include a check of your mental and physical well-being both now and in the past. The law allows us to check complete criminal history, which includes local, state, and federal checks. Your signature below allows us to search all sources that contain information that would allow a complete and accurate background investigation.
I also certify that all information on my firearm permit, and this background information sheet, is true and accurate, knowing that any falsified information could disqualify me from obtaining the permit.
I also certify that the Red County Sheriff's Department has the right to revoke my Personal Firearm Permit for any circumstance, with legal authority. If I fail to abide by state laws or any regulations and protocols that are set out by the Red County Sheriff's Department, I hereby consent to the revocation of my Personal Firearm Permit.
