I would like to obtain a Personal Firearm Permit for two reasons. First of all I need to say how current safety level of Palomino, where I live is not good. There have been many shootings around the area lately which makes me feel unsafe and endangered. And that is the first reason why I am applying here and why I would like to obtain a Personal Firearm Permit - personal safety. As a worker in a fishing company who spends a lot of time on the boat, there is also a danger of lurking thieves.
Second reason for applying here is potential occasional hunting.

I plan to use Personal Firearm Permit responsibly. I know what damage a firearm can cause. As I said, I would use it mostly for my own safety and safety of those close to me - as a defensive tool. I am planning to keep the weapon locked in my apartment - in my personal safe, away from everyone else. I know that only showing a weapon to a potential dangerous individual can have a big effect and save me.

It is the responsibility of the Red County Sheriff's Department to include a background check of all applicants for a firearm permit. This check could involve interviews with family members, neighbors, or co-workers, past and present. This check will include a check of your mental and physical well-being both now and in the past. The law allows us to check complete criminal history, which includes local, state, and federal checks. Your signature below allows us to search all sources that contain information that would allow a complete and accurate background investigation.
I also certify that all information on my firearm permit, and this background information sheet, is true and accurate, knowing that any falsified information could disqualify me from obtaining the permit.
I also certify that the Red County Sheriff's Department has the right to revoke my Personal Firearm Permit for any circumstance, with legal authority. If I fail to abide by state laws or any regulations and protocols that are set out by the Red County Sheriff's Department, I hereby consent to the revocation of my Personal Firearm Permit.
